You know, why can't recycled paper be cheaper than new paper? I don't get it. If it were cheaper, people would be more inclined to buy and use it right? Besides, I like how recycled paper looks, but when I see how much more expensive it is, I tend to choose new paper instead.
Which is such a waste, in my opinion! Not only is it environmental friendly, it's pretty too! And it's quite interesting to think what kind of paper was it originally made from. Maybe some secondary school student's used notes? Or a Giant catalogue? Ah, behold. The mysteries of recycled paper.
Anyway, enough on that.
Did you know that 90.4 billion kilograms of paper and over 380 billion plastic bags, sacks and wraps are used in the US each year?
My goodness.
And that's only in the US! Imagine, the whole European continent probably uses as much if not more. Not to mention Asia, Australia etc. Kesian the trees!
Plastic. I wish I could stop shops for giving out plastic bags. Especially dvd shops. You know, those black/yellow/pink/etc. coloured low quality plastic bags with 'terima kasih' printed all over it with the occasional random cartoon characters. Paper bags are much better!! Cuter some more.

Okay, after writing that paragraph, I googled the amount of petroleum needed to produce one plastic bag and this came out. http://www.plasticsindustry.org/outreach/environment/2101.htm
I feel stupid now. Haha.
They actually said that paper bags use more resources for production compared to plastic bags. Seriously, does that not sound weird? I thought plastic was bad for the environment cause some are not biodegradable.
And apparently, "It takes seven trucks to deliver the quantity of paper bags contained in one truckload of plastic bags."
What the!
*smacks self*
