would you like to do laundry?

edit : I typed everything out and stupid Blogger messed it UP! One more reason to be pissed off. I just rewrote everything. Thank goodness for my wonderful short-term memory :D HAHA.

Holidays are a time to be happy and carefree with nothing do right?

To me, that's the whole beauty of it. To have that feeling of freedom after labouring for the whole year.

So why is my mum wanting to exploit me!

Okay, not exploit la. But almost... make use of me in that sense!

She wants me to do LAUNDRY (washing, hanging, collecting, ironing, folding, storing) and cook dinner!!

I don't mind the second part, but the first part just MURDERS ME.

Does she not know that absolutely hate doing laundry!!! She tried to bribe me by suggesting a considerable 'pay'/wage/gaji :\ But nooOooOoo, not even the lure of money can make me submit to spending the rest of my precious holidays doing LAUNDRY for goodness sakes, help me.

Can you imagine, everyone else working (as in real jobs, not this stupid job of being a launderess) and me? Perspiring profusely while ironing clothes with a bandanna tied around my forehead to prevent the sweat from dripping on the fresh load of laundry.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMAREEEEE! I FEEL LIKE A MAID ALREADY!

Am I wrong to deny my mother of "lightening her burdens"? I mean, I know it is wrong to not wanna help your parents and yada yada yada.

But it's not like I don't do half those things already for FREE! I wash the clothes (occasionally) and hang and collect them (this I do 80% of the time)! But I cannot stand ironing clothes!!!!

Yeah, not even if you think it's "good preparation for my future", mother! Have you forgotten that I know how to manuever an iron without burning anything? I did it when I was 12 :\

I don't know why I'm so angry about this! But tell me honestly, if YOUR mother asked you for the same thing, I'm pretty sure this scene wouldn't be playing out :

Your mother : So, ah girl ah, from tomorrow onwards till the end
of your holidays you do the laundry okay! This includes washing, drying,
ironing, folding and keeping all the clothes once you're done yeah? *pats
daughter on head*
Helpful, generous daughter : Sure, mother! I totally don't
mind doing these wonderful chores to fill up my otherwise boring days! *wide
smile* I just love having these productive things to do! *hugs mother*
Yah, it's exaggerated but whatever. You get my point. Who in the world would be jumping off the wall with enthusiasm about these kinda requests!
Am I a horrible daughter!?!?!!
