Term 1 is ending in a couple of weeks and I feel a bit sad. I predicted this would be the easiest term that I would ever have, and I think I'm right. When would I ever have Mondays off again, and no final exams? Term 2 seems intimidating, but nonetheless, I will persevere! Haha.



1. Aumoniere de Crepe Creme Anglaise (fancy name for Chantilly cream filled crepes)

2. Tarte Aux Pommes (apple tart which was very nice!!!! I used a picture of my friend's tart cause mine turned out looking not so appetizing hahaha but still tasted nice ok!)

3. Choux Chantilly served with Chocolate Sauce (cream puffs)

4. Gateaux aux Fruits (Genoise sponge cake layered with Pastry Cream & Fruits! I assembled this cake! :D :D nice or not! :P)

5. Marble Butter Cupcake (nice!)

6. Marble Butter Cake (this one cheating, cause same batter used for 2 items :D)

7. Tarte Alsacienne (Custard Apple Tart - not that nice, actually. The custard tasted like egg tart punya custard, and it doesn't really go nicely with the apple, IMO. The pic is of a tart that has not been filled with custard cause it looks better that way haha!)

8. Raisin muffins (I like muffins :D)

9. FRUIT TARTSSSSS (This is not officially part of what we learnt. Long story short, the other chef let us make them - not from scratch though! I regret not asking how to make it cause it was SOO good. I want some more :(

10. Paris Brest (Cream Puff Ring filled with praline cream! yes yes it's pronounced like how you think it is, but don't laugh! Brest is the name of a place! Google it :D This was similar to item 3, but nicer :D)

11. Swiss roll (we did this today! and that pic was of the one that I rolled! I know it's pretty ugly. the center piece accidentally flattened and broke off when I rolled it. That's why the shape is so weird. haha)

12. Raisin scones (did this today too!)



Amazingly, Picasa arranged the pics in such a way that it was actually in the correct order! :D

Btw, there's a pic of some Chocolate Chip Cookies missing. It should come as item no. 2, but I didn't take a picture of it. I guess I thought it was pretty common, haha.

Soooo yeah, that's basically almost everything we have done so far in Pastry class for Term 1 :D Hope you all like it haha.
